Bima is one of the five Pandawas, the second son of Prabu Pandu and Dewi Kunti (conceived by Batara Bayu, the god of the wind). He is married to Dewi Nagagini, the daughter of Antaboga, the god of the sea. Together they have a son, Antasena. His second wife is Arimbi, a giantess, with whom he also has a son: Gatot Kaca.
Bima is known for his robust and cheerful nature. He understands a lot but doesn't always show it. He is truthful, extroverted, easily provoked but also friendly, just, and simple. Bima respects elders. His language is rough but never hurtful. He is never submissive, even to the gods.
