Wayang golek puppet: Ki Oleng
Ki Oleng is a less standardised figure who mainly appears in certain local wayang traditions (particularly those with Cirebon/Sundanese influences). He is usually seen as a comic servant or folk character, similar to other panakawan-like figures. The name “Oleng” refers to “staggering” or “swaying”, which fits his often clumsy, funny and unpredictable behaviour on stage.
